Dear EAGLE Parents and Families,
At the June 15, 2021, EAGLE College Prep Schools board meeting, the proposed and updated school health and safety guidelines were approved. As you prepare for the 2021- 2022 school year, we want to share with you the health and safety changes you’ll see in the fall.

21-22 School Year Guideline Changes
Face Covering
- Face Coverings will be considered OPTIONAL according to the personal decision of each student and their family. The same policy will apply to school staff.
- Face Coverings will be required for visitors and volunteers, including parents, while on campus.
Scholar Screening
- Temperatures will no longer be taken upon arrival to school. We ask that families regularly monitor their student’s health for symptoms indicated on the Health and Safety questionnaire, which can be indicators of COVID.
Events & Field Trips
- All non-essential events and field trips will be reviewed on a case by case basis and community health data will be a key consideration
Visitors
- Non-essential visitors will be allowed on campus with a scheduled appointment and will be required to wear a mask.
Breakfast & Lunch
- Students will wash hands before and after food service.
- Students will be served in assigned seats in the designated lunch areas.
- Distancing will follow established guidelines.
- Catering staff will follow school safety protocols, including masks and temperature scans.
Hallways
- Movement in the hallways should be in a schoolwide one-way (clockwise or counterclockwise) direction.
- If this is not possible, walking routes will be set up to do everything possible to keep classes from passing by each other in a narrow hallway.
- Classes should limit/eliminate stopping in the hallways as this creates a traffic jam for other classes.
Classroom Rotations/Transitions
- All staff will ensure that the classroom and the school supplies used are cleaned between each student group or student use.
- Staff will ensure that students are adhering to classroom entry/exit procedures.
- Desks and common spaces will be cleaned throughout the school day.
Special Classes
- All pull-out services including Special Education Services (SPED, OT, SLI, etc.), English Language Learners, and Title I small group intervention supports will be scheduled by grade level or grade level bands as appropriate for the group. Grade level bands are K-2, 3-5, 6-8.
